“Better Things” Review!

Pamela Adlon stars in the new FX series Better Things, a story about an actress balancing the daily struggles of single motherhood while working in Hollywood. Although the show is reminiscent of Louie, where Adlon has appeared more than two dozen times, it is so much more than that. Better Things is a show that shines a bright light on Adlon’s talent and ambition. We are so excited to provide our services to the show and thank the post production team for choosing EPS-Cineworks! Check out the sneak peak video here and be sure to watch Better Things premiering tonight on FX!

“La La Land”: Venice Film Review!

Damien Chazelle’s La La Land opened up this year’s Venice Film Festival and people are talking! The film pays homage to the traditional styles of musicals from the 40’s and 50’s. With its retro style and Hollywood glamour, La La Land is just the kind of film we need! Variety’s review of the film describes it as “ardent and full of feeling, passionate but also exquisitely controlled.” We had the pleasure of working with Chazelle and his team at our Studio City facility and are thrilled to have provided our technical services! Composer Justin Hurwitz also spoke exclusively to Variety about the process and ideas behind the film’s music. Read what Hurwitz has to say here and be sure to see La La Land in theaters December 16th!
